Frequently Asked Questions

The following are frequently asked questions about the programs and community at Sayers Classical Academy. If you do not see your question listed below, please submit a contact form.

  • What are the hours of your program?

    PreK and Kindergarten begin at 8:00 am and dismiss at 12:30pm (A Full Day option is available). Grades 1 through 12 begin at 8:00 am and end at 3:30 pm.

  • What are the age requirements for entry to PreK and Kindergarten?

    PreK students must be three years old by August 1st and they also must be completely toilet trained. Students going into Kindergarten must be five years old by August 1st; however, we recommend waiting until age six in order to maximize this crucial year in our curriculum.

  • What is the typical class size?

    Relatively Small

    Class sizes at Sayers are relatively small. Kindergarten and grades 1-4 classes are limited to 10-12 students, but may also be smaller. Class sizes within grades 5-12 vary based on subject and scheduling but are typically between 10-20 students.

  • Do you provide training for parents?


    Yes, there are training sessions required for both new and returning parents. These sessions cover such things as the phonogram/spelling curriculum, Latin in grades 3 &4, the Sayers’ binder system, etc.

  • What extracurricular are available through SCA?


    We are thankful for our students to have the opportunity to participate in the arts, various sports and ministry opportunities. You may read more about these under Student Life.

  • Where do I purchase the required uniform?
